Importing Shapes

Top  Previous  Next

MPSuperShape can import shapes from an external file. Do this by selecting the MPSuperShape: Import option on the MapPoint Tools menu. MPSuperShape will then display a standard file selection dialog box. Select the required input file. The file extension specifies the file format. Press OK to import the shapes.

MPSuperShape can import the following file formats:

Google Earth / Keyhole 'KML' Files
GML Files
ESRI 'SHP' Shape Files
MapInfo 'MIF' Files

Note: At present, MPSuperShape only supports files that use coordinate systems with decimal degrees and the WGS84 geoid - ie. the same as MapPoint.
